Larry Gatlin, Crystal Gayle And Andy Cooney's American Voices: Songs Of Our NATION
The voices of Crystal Gayle and Larry Gatlin have proven to be unbeatable; they won the Academy of Country Music's Best Female and Male Vocalists of the Year in 1979. Now the Gayle and Gatlin combination teams up with Irish America's Favorite Son, Andy Cooney, proving again to be
unbeatable.
Larry Gatlin led The Gatlin Brothers through the course of a four-decade career that has taken the Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element, music. There's no harmony quite as pure as family harmony. After touring with his brothers, Larry starred on Broadway taking the lead role in the Tony award winning best musical "The Will Rogers Follies." Combining his love of music and theater, Gatlin has recently scored an entire musical using only his songs, both old and new.
Crystal Gayle 's warm, resonant vocal style created a country crossover phenomena as timeless as the beautiful music in her repertoire. Country, folk, pop, rock 'n roll, Broadway show tunes, gospel...all found equal place in her heart, growing up as the youngest of eight children. Like sister Loretta, Crystal too was a "coal miners daughter" before she was a platinum selling singer and a worldclass entertainer. Her Grammy Award winning hit, Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue, is recognized as being one of the ten most performed songs of the 20th century. Her 21 other Top 10 singles and 16 No. 1 hits helped to make Gayle one of the most popular singers of her era.
Andy Cooney 's dynamic stage presence and outstanding voice keeps him one of the busiest entertainers in America. Direct from his Sold Out appearance at Carnegie Hall on December 4, 2008 and christened by The New York Times as "Irish America's Favorite Son" His repertoire spans from sea to shining sea, singing songs from Dublin, Ireland to Dublin, California and everywhere in between. Andy 's talent and versatility provide the ability to deliver a song directly to the hearts of his listeners.
Gayle, Gatlin, and Cooney join together in patriotism to honor America's Songbook and celebrate Country, Heritage, Faith, and Friendship. Combined with their own compositions, these American Voices are sure to bring the house down every time!
