West Bijou Tour

Location: Meet at the Aurora Site. Discover why West Bijou is a jewel! These tours are special opportunities to explore our 9,000 acre short-grass prairie natural area with Plains Center naturalists. Each day trip will include a short hike to view the K/T boundary - one of the most unique K/T sites in the world and we will learn how it tells the story of the demise of the dinosaurs. We will explore the prairie, watch the skies for raptors and visit the bison herd. Meet at Plain Center's Aurora site… Show more at 9am to carpool to West Bijou and return at 3pm. Bring lunch, water, sunscreen, close-toed shoes and dress for the ever-changing Colorado weather. Binoculars and cameras are recommended! See the website for online registration.
