Homestead Baking-Pie Crust Making

Settlers made the most of their resources even while baking. For instance, lard was the shortening for the prairie pie crust. Make a pie crust in the soddies (with some modern day adjustments to the recipe) and take it home to fill with our suggestions of a variety of goodies. Bring a pie pan, large mixing bowl and rolling pin.
